Publisher Warner Bros. Games Announces Official Release Date for Mortal Kombat 1 DLC Starring DC Character Peacemaker.
The upcoming Peacemaker DLC for Mortal Kombat 1 now has an official release date of February 28. Since its release in September, Mortal Kombat 1 has quickly become one of the best competitive multiplayer games of 2023. Developer NetherRealm Studios has consistently expanded the roster with new characters through DLC, bringing in popular franchises into the Mortal Kombat 1 world.
With the DLC release schedule established, fans have known which characters to expect and when to expect them. Recent events had some players wondering if they might have to wait longer for the next addition to the roster. However, Warner Bros. Games announced on Twitter that the Peacemaker DLC will officially release for early access on February 28, with the next season of Mortal Kombat 1 launching around the same time.
Although the tweet didn’t mention the regular release date for the Peacemaker DLC, based on the pattern of the Mortal Kombat 1 Kombat Pack Release schedule, players who didn’t opt for early access should anticipate receiving the DLC one week later.
Mortal Kombat fans, especially those who love DC Comics, will likely be eager to play as the super-violent and ironically-named Peacemaker in a few weeks. While there are currently no announced plans to add Harley Quinn or any other DC characters, the success of Peacemaker may open doors for other DC characters to join the game in the future.
