A Cruel Twist in Black Ops 6’s Omnimovement Training
The Omnimovement training course in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has an unexpected twist: it’s led by Frank Woods, who was left handicapped after the events of Black Ops 2. This peculiar detail was quickly noted by players after entering the early access beta, which began on August 30.
Continuing the Legacy with New Features
Black Ops 6 picks up where Black Ops 2 and Black Ops Cold War left off, featuring a campaign set in the early 90s, along with new multiplayer and round-based Zombies modes. The game introduces an advanced Omnimovement system, allowing players to sprint, dive, and strafe with enhanced freedom and control. The early access beta offers players a chance to experience this new movement system, along with eight multiplayer maps, various gear, operators, and a special Omnimovement training course.
Frank Woods: From Soldier to Instructor
Reddit user Latro2020 humorously pointed out the irony of Frank Woods leading the Omnimovement training course. Despite being wheelchair-bound due to his confrontation with Raul Menendez in Black Ops 2, Woods is now guiding players through the new movement mechanics. Although some joked that Woods might suddenly be able to demonstrate Omnimovement himself, this seems unlikely.
Master Omnimovement Before Multiplayer
While Woods may not be on the battlefield, his expertise in the Omnimovement system is invaluable for players aiming to master the new mechanics. Completing the Omnimovement training course is highly recommended before jumping into the Black Ops 6 multiplayer.
Beta Details and Exclusive Rewards
Players can explore Omnimovement in the Black Ops 6 early access beta, available until September 4 on all platforms. The second phase of the beta runs from September 4 to September 9 and offers the chance to earn exclusive rewards, including a weapon blueprint and loading screen, which will be available at the game’s launch on October 25. Fans can also try out the game’s multiplayer by redeeming a free beta code from Xfinity Rewards or by pre-ordering before the beta ends.
