Fortnite’s Latest Mythic Item Buffs and Nerfs
Epic Games recently rolled out a significant update for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4, addressing feedback from the community. The latest patch buffs Shuri’s Black Panther Claws and nerfs War Machine’s Hover Jet, two popular superhero Mythic items introduced in this season.
Shuri’s Black Panther Claws Buff
The update enhances Shuri’s Black Panther Claws, increasing player sprint speed and expanding the range of the pounce ability. These improvements make the item more viable in combat, allowing players to close the distance on enemies more effectively. Previously considered one of the weaker Mythics, these changes should help reposition it as a powerful option. In addition to the buffs, Epic Games has made the claws available as floor loot and added them to the randomized chest item pool, increasing accessibility.
War Machine’s Hover Jet Nerf
In contrast, War Machine’s Hover Jet received a nerf, primarily by reducing its availability in Avengers Chests. Players had criticized the Hover Jet as overpowered due to its dominance in mobility and weapon rotations. By reducing its frequency, Epic Games aims to balance the gameplay while giving other Mythic items, such as Shuri’s Claws, more prominence.
Community Feedback and Future Updates
As with other seasons, Epic Games continues to monitor player feedback and adjust the game accordingly. The developer often sends out surveys to gauge player interest in various items, weapons, and seasonal content. With the season set to conclude on November 2, additional nerfs and buffs to other Mythic items could follow.
Potential for Future Mythic Adjustments
As Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 progresses, there’s potential for further adjustments to other Mythic items. Epic Games often responds to community feedback, meaning additional buffs or nerfs could be implemented based on how players interact with the current loot pool. With the Absolute Doom event heavily featuring Marvel heroes and villains, more Mythic items, such as Doctor Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets or Captain America’s Shield, could also receive updates.
