The post-apocalyptic world in Once Human is brimming with valuable resources like ores, wood, and stone, essential for crafting everything from weapons and armor to shelter and tools. Among the most crucial tools you’ll need is a Pickaxe. As you progress through the game, different types of pickaxes will become available, each with increasing efficiency in gathering resources.
Upgrading your pickaxe not only allows you to gather resources faster, but certain resources require specific pickaxes to mine. In Once Human, there are six different types of pickaxes, each more efficient than the last. Here’s a detailed guide on how to craft each one.
1. Crude Pickaxe
The Crude Pickaxe is the most basic type of pickaxe you can craft. It’s made of stone and is generally used to mine Sulfur and Copper Ore. To craft a Crude Pickaxe, you’ll need:
- 5 Logs
- 10 Gravel
You can craft the Crude Pickaxe directly with your bare hands at the Campsite.
2. Copper Pickaxe
The Copper Pickaxe is an upgrade from the Crude Pickaxe and is capable of mining Tin and Silver Ore. To craft a Copper Pickaxe, you’ll need:
- 5 Logs
- 7 Copper Ingots
- 2 Hides
Once you have the necessary materials, craft the Copper Pickaxe at the Supplies Workbench.
3. Bronze Pickaxe
The Bronze Pickaxe is required to mine Iron and Stardust Ore. Before crafting this, you need to unlock the Bronze Crafting Memetic. Here’s what you’ll need:
- 5 Logs
- 7 Bronze Ingots
- 1 Hide
Head to the Supplies Workbench to craft the Bronze Pickaxe.
4. Steel Pickaxe
Once you’ve mastered crafting steel ingots, you can unlock the Steel Pickaxe. This tool is strong enough to mine Aluminum and Iron Ore. You’ll need:
- 10 Steel Ingots
- 3 Rawhide
After gathering the required materials, craft the Steel Pickaxe at the Intermediate Supplies Workbench.
5. Alloy Pickaxe
The Alloy Pickaxe becomes available after you learn how to craft aluminum ingots. It has a greater mining strength and is necessary for mining Tungsten Ore. To craft an Alloy Pickaxe, gather:
- 10 Aluminum Ingots
- 7 Steel Ingots
- 3 Rawhide
You can craft this pickaxe at an Intermediate or Advanced Supplies Workbench.
6. Tungsten Alloy Pickaxe
The Tungsten Alloy Pickaxe is the most powerful pickaxe in Once Human. It unlocks when you learn how to craft Tungsten Ingots, and it’s needed to mine Gold Ore. To craft this pickaxe, you’ll need:
- 10 Tungsten Ingots
- 7 Steel Ingots
- 3 Rawhide
