A lucky Call of Duty enthusiast has uncovered an incredible find at a garage sale, scoring near-perfect condition physical copies of some of the franchise’s earliest and most beloved titles. As Activision prepares to release Call of Duty’s twenty-first installment, Black Ops 6, in October, many fans still hold a deep appreciation for the original games that defined the series.
Since 2005, the Call of Duty series has consistently released new titles every year, and this year is no exception. Activision kicked off June with the reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 at the Xbox Showcase, showcasing gameplay and a new omnidirectional movement system. The game will be available on day one through Xbox Game Pass following Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision-Blizzard.
While fans eagerly anticipate the new release, one Call of Duty player, known as BBGaming07 on Reddit, has scored a nostalgic treasure trove at a garage sale. They managed to pick up six of the series’ earliest titles for just a dollar each. The haul includes Call of Duty, its expansion pack United Offensive, Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: World at War, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. These titles, considered some of the highest-rated in the series, were discovered in near-mint condition, complete with pristine manuals and cases.
Finding classic games in such excellent condition, especially for just a dollar per title, is an incredibly rare occurrence. As the value of physical classic games continues to rise, this fortunate player has undoubtedly struck gold with their collection.
